In under 2 weeks, we are hosting 'Military Transition Programs; What are they and why should I join', exploring the exponential growth of companies with in-house Military demystification programs and what opportunities this creates for ex-military personnel.
We will be joined by Rupert Stevens.
Rupert graduated from Durham University in 2004, reading Theology before Commissioning into the Grenadier Guards from the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst in December 2005.
His time in the army saw him complete three tours of Afghanistan, his first as a platoon commander leading 28 soldiers in 2007, his middle tour in 2009, and 2010 as a company second in command of the Sovereign’s Company (previously the Queen’s Company, now the King’s Company) and his final tour in 2012 as the Adjutant of the Battalion.
Rupert left the military in December 2013 and joined Barclays Bank as a Customer Experience manager, working with various business areas to use game-changing technology to improve the experience customers had when interacting with the bank.
Rupert was then promoted a year later and joined the Premier Banking Products team where he was responsible for mortgages.
In 2019 Rupert left Barclays for Metro Bank where he became a lead manager in the mortgage team before promoting to his current role as Head of Mortgage Asset Performance.
