Should be able to supervise and actively participate in demolition projects involving residential, commercial, industrial, and environmental demolition activities. This role is responsible for leading crews in the field, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to company and regulatory standards. You will serve as the primary on-site leader while also performing hands-on labor and equipment operation as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate daily demolition operations and field personnel.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and demolition specifications.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, and hand/power tools when required.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure schedules and production goals are met.
  • Identify and mitigate job site hazards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, truck drivers, and inspectors.
  • Train and mentor crew members on safe work practices and equipment operation.
  • Ensure proper handling, sorting, and disposal of demolition debris and recyclable materials.
  • Complete daily reports, equipment inspections, and documentation.
  • Manage labor hours, material usage, and equipment needs on site.
  • Respond quickly to field issues and make operational decisions to maintain productivity.
