At River City Construction, our Project Managers in the Water/Wastewater sector play a key role in leading infrastructure projects from start to finish. These specialized PMs work closely with internal departments, design teams, and municipalities to ensure each project is meticulously planned, delivered on time, within budget, and meets the highest standards for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Project Managers are expected to understand the overall picture of their projects-including treatment plant upgrades, pump station construction, and utility infrastructure work-while managing priorities independently. They lead teams that may include superintendents, foremen, engineers, safety staff, procurement, and others. PMs may also support pursuit efforts by developing relationships with municipal clients, utility districts, and design consultants to help secure future water/wastewater opportunities.
We offer a flexible work environment that supports meeting team members where they are at in both work and life-while keeping project needs and deadlines top of mind. Flexibility may vary depending on specific project requirements. For this role we anticipate a hybrid work environment inclusive of 2-3 days onsite/in office.
Project Leadership: Collaborate with fellow Project Managers, Field Operations, and leadership to ensure high performance across all water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including compliance with environmental regulations, permitting, and utility coordination.
Team Coordination: Oversee all aspects of your project team on treatment plant, pipeline, and utility work. Use technology to improve efficiency, maintain current schedules, and coordinate with client reps and field teams to ensure quality deliverables and operational functionality.
Project Execution: Manage budgets, procurement, forecasting, job costs, and cash flow on complex utility and treatment-related scopes. Lead efforts to meet project goals and ensure a responsive, client-focused experience.
Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with municipal and utility clients, engineering partners, and vendors-serving as the main point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
Field Support: Address jobsite challenges unique to water/wastewater construction (e.g., bypass pumping, confined space, dewatering), lead progress meetings, manage RFIs and change orders, ensure environmental and safety compliance, and oversee documentation for QA/QC and permitting.
At RCC, we're committed to building great projects-and great teams. If you're passionate about constructing essential water infrastructure, leading complex utility work, and collaborating to serve communities, we'd love to talk with you.
