About the Role:

The Water and Sewer Line Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the water and sewer systems that are essential for public health and safety. This position involves diagnosing issues, performing necessary repairs, and ensuring that all work complies with local regulations and safety standards. Technicians will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of pipelines, as well as troubleshooting any leaks or blockages that may arise. The end result of this role is to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of water and sewer services, contributing to the overall well-being of the community. Ultimately, the technician's work helps to prevent environmental contamination and promotes sustainable water management practices.

This position is mostly installing water and sewer lines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in plumbing or related field.
  • Experience with trenchless technology.
  • Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Prior Equipment Operation of Excavators

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and assess water and sewer lines for damage or blockages.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on existing water and sewer systems.
  • Install new pipelines and fixtures as required.
  • Utilize specialized tools and equipment to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include strong problem-solving abilities, which are essential for diagnosing issues in water and sewer lines. Attention to detail is crucial, as technicians must ensure that all repairs meet safety and regulatory standards. Physical stamina and dexterity are necessary for handling tools and performing manual labor in various conditions. Compensation details: 20-27 Hourly Wage
