Warehouse Supervisor


QUALIFICATIONS
Education

  • Associates degree preferred or 3-5 years equivalent education/work experience in a distribution center.

Preferred Experience

  • Education/Experience:

    • Minimum of 5+ years in a similar distribution center role

    • OR an Associates OR Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience,

    • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Access, and Word

Leadership & Management:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and manage multiple responsibilities.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong time management abilities.

  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively across all levels of management.

Physical & Operational Requirements:

  • Willingness to work weekends as needed by the business.

  • Ability to obtain forklift certification and operate machinery as required.

Physical capability to:

  • Frequently walk and climb stairs,

  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs,

  • Occasionally bend and twist

Responsibilities:

  • Main point of contact for special projects including prepacks, rollouts and orders requiring special handling, review and documentation

  • Perform quality and accuracy audits on completed pre-pack and rollouts orders prior to shipment.

  • Determine hours required to complete assignments within prescribed goals

  • Prepare work schedules and assign specific duties in order to properly fill and load customer orders onto trucks designated for local and long-haul delivery areas.

  • Manage activities through use of warehouse control labor systems and continual direct follow up.

  • Ensure proper use of company property/machines.

  • Coordinate workflow and procedures to maximize service levels.

  • Record and review productivity and performance levels to improve efficiency of the operation.

  • Examine work for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures; enforces labor standards.

  • Enforce all safety standards and sanitation control.

  • Assess and review pre-pack or rollout orders verifying inventory, shipment requirements, and timelines.

  • Select, train, counsel and develop direct reports.

  • Recommend salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, disciplinary action, dismissals and terminations.

  • Coach and counsel direct reports on performance issues and takes corrective action if needed.

  • Conduct periodic meetings with employees to keep them informed of current problems, changes and new developments in the department and Company.

  • Manage time and attendance of direct reports according to policies and procedures.

  • Plan, schedule, and assign workload as well as monitor work productivity and recommend/ implement changes as needed.

  • Complete performance appraisals within assigned timeframes.

  • Cross train direct reports to maximize productivity and provide coverage of all functions. Administer all policies and procedures accordingly as set forth by DON.

  • Perform other duties as assigned
