Warehouse Shipping Clerk

Shift - 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Midday shift

Payrate - $18/hr.

Location - Commerce, CA

Main Responsibilities;

Shipping & Documentation

Process small parcel orders in the WMS and shipping systems.

Create and print shipping labels.

Generate packing slips and other required shipping documents.

Verify carrier service levels (Ground, 2-Day, Overnight, etc.).

Create and maintain Bills of Lading (when required).

Order Verification

Verify order accuracy before shipment.

Ensure correct quantities, weights, and dimensions.

Confirm customer routing and shipping requirements.

Review orders for special handling instructions.

Carrier Management

Schedule carrier pickups.

Coordinate with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other parcel carriers.

Resolve shipping exceptions and delivery issues.

Track shipments and provide status updates.

System Transactions

Perform shipping confirmations in the WMS/ERP.

Update shipment statuses.

Research and correct shipping errors.

Maintain shipping logs and reports.

Customer & Internal Support;

Respond to inquiries regarding shipment status.

Work with Customer Service, Traffic, and Warehouse Operations to resolve shipping issues.

Assist with claims for lost or damaged shipments.

Compliance & Quality

Ensure compliance with customer routing guides.

Follow company shipping procedures and carrier requirements.

Maintain accurate shipping records.

Help meet on-time shipping and OTIF goals.

Key Skills;

Experience with WMS and shipping software (ProShip, GrandShipper, etc.).

Strong attention to detail.

Good organizational skills.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Excel and email proficiency.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
