Job Details
We are seeking a proven executive to take on a strategic leadership role within our federal division. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the complexities of government-funded construction-particularly projects led by entities such as the USACE, NAVFAC, VA, or similar. This role requires a balance of high-level operations management, business development acumen, and a hands-on approach to field and project oversight.
This position will be based out of Detroit, MI relocation packages will be provided.
Responsibilities:
Oversee operational performance across multiple federal construction programs
Strengthen and grow relationships with key government clients and partners
Guide project teams to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence
Identify strategic growth opportunities within the federal market
Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term planning and resource alignment
Support and mentor field and project leadership to promote internal development
Ensure compliance with federal contracting requirements and regulations
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years in a senior leadership role within federal construction
Strong track record with projects under USACE, VA, NAVFAC, or similar agencies
Expertise in federal acquisition processes, compliance, and project delivery
Experience managing multi-million-dollar contracts and diverse project teams
Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
Willingness to travel as needed to support projects nationwide
