We are seeking an experienced Traveling Multi Family Superintendent. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, enjoys the challenge of multi-tasking, and has a passion for travel. This position will take you to various locations where you will oversee the construction and maintenance of multi-family residential properties including assisted living facilities, dorms, student housing, and apartments.
Responsibilities:
As a Traveling Multi Family Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle and ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
2. Supervising onsite personnel and subcontractors, interfacing with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
3. Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
4. Planning and coordinating all aspects of the construction process, including hiring subcontractors and working with engineers, architects, and vendors.
5. Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
6. Participating in project meetings and providing status updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, specifically with Senior Living, Assisted Living multi-family, dorm, student housing, and apartment projects.
2. Proven track record of successfully overseeing all phases of multi-million dollar construction projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
4. Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
5. Ability to travel frequently and relocate as needed.
6. Proficient in interpreting blueprints and project plans.
7. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
8. OSHA certification or willingness to obtain.
9. Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
