The Tire & Lube Mechanic Technician is responsible for trouble shooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximize reliability and functionality. An excellent tire & lube auto mechanic has good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. They are well-versed and have excellent problem-solving abilities. They must also be good communicators to provide advice to customers. This is a safety sensitive position and will require a negative drug test. This position will report to the Location Manager.

Responsibilities:

This position requires the ability to perform a combination of the following duties during 95% of workday/shift. Although exact duties may vary from day to day, our business and staffing model make it essential to be able to perform all of the following duties accurately, efficiently and safely on a regular basis. Demonstrate attention to detail, able to make good judgements quickly and the ability to multi-task.

  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
  • Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use.
  • Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
  • Keep logs on work and issues.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
  • Inspects vehicle and notify supervisor of any needed equipment, supplies or maintenance.
  • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company policy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer inquiries about product or service.
  • Preform all duties in accordance with safety rules and company policies.
  • Demonstrate ongoing communication with all levels of the company to enhance teamwork and effectiveness in alignment with company goals. Responsible for tire repair. Oil changes. Loadouts. Ground care. Assisting with inventory and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred but not required.
  • Must possess a clean driving record
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • 1 years of industry experience preferred
