In t his position the primary responsibility will be functional testing of our Autonomous Robots under limited supervision . This will include analyz ing , troubleshoot ing , identify ing route-c ause problem s , visual inspection , managing multiple tasks , meet ing tight timelines , and providing feedback to management in efficiency of the testing process.

What we do The Warehouse team within the Service Center of Excellence is dedicated to supporting service, repair, testing, evaluation, and field support activities. We manage the shipping, receiving, and material handling for repair-related materials. Our primary focus is on meeting the repair and service material needs essential for customer service. The team works in close collaboration with other departments to ensure accurate material movement and transaction processing.
What you'll do - Configure, test, and inspect symbotic robots .
- Troubleshoot Symbotic Robots, using knowledge of mechatronics, and Linux embedded systems at a basic component level .
- Test Symbotic electromechanical subassemblies for functionality and/or quality.
- Perform electro-mechanical repairs on Symbotic Robots based on solid troubleshootin g m ethods .
- Perform Software and Firmware upgrades to Robotic Drive Units and Sub-assemblies.
- Document problems on traveler and in manufacturing test database .
- Issue tickets for corrective action as necessary .
- Assist engineers in activities for Bot improvements .
- Document test results and issues encountered during test .
- Work in a cross-functional collaborative team environment.
What you'll need - High School Diploma or Equivalent .
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the Electrical or Robotic field .
- Minimum of 1 years of work experience in a production test role or in in production/ manufacturing/operations or similar environments .
- Experience working with mechatronics (stepper/servo motors, actuators, controllers, etc.) a plus .
- Learning p roblem solving skills with the ability to interpret drawings, schematics, specification s and wiring diagrams.
- Basic level of computer troubleshooting including networks and software installation .
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word , and Teams ) .
- Initiative-taking and highly organized.
- Able to lift 60 pounds and can stand for extended periods of time.
- Possess an understanding of diverse types of mechanical and/or electrical test equipment.
- Possess the ability to train contractors in all aspects of the required role.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrates initiative and is self-motivated.
- Hands-on skill set required; ready to learn, absorb, and utilize information in a demanding environment.
O ur Environment - There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.
- You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.
- Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105 to 32 Fahrenheit.
- At times you may be at a construction site with PPE required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness).
- Frequent ability to safely and efficiently lift items weighing up to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.
- Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. Where you may need to be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
