Tableau Server Architect

We are looking for a Tableau Server Architect for one of our Clients

Long term opportunity to work on a highly visible Project.

Need to have Architecture and Tableau Server experience

Hybrid onsite 3x a week in Charlotte

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the Tableau Server infrastructure to support our complex and data-driven environments. This role requires a deep understanding of Tableau Server architecture, performance optimization, security, scalability, high availability, external file store, and a focus on delivering reliable and high-performing analytic solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement a scalable and secure Tableau Server

architecture.

Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of

Tableau Server environments.

Ensure high availability, performance, and security of

Tableau Server.

Implement and maintain optimal disaster recovery processes

and procedures, to include External File Store.

Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business

stakeholders to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions.

Optimize server performance and find root causes of service

degradation.

Create and monitor key performance metrics for reliable

capacity planning.

Stay updated with the latest Tableau features, updates, and

industry trends.

Required Skills

Proven experience as a Tableau Server Administrator or

Architect.

Strong knowledge of Tableau Server architecture and

administration.

Experience with server performance tuning and

troubleshooting.

Experience in network security and data governance.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills for interacting with

technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with running Tableau Server within premises of a

large company.

Experience integrating on-premise Tableau Server with

off-premise (external) infrastructure.

Desired Skills

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or

PowerShell.

Experience with capacity planning and stress testing tools.

Experience with standing up and maintaining Tableau Server

in Microsoft Azure (cloud), Windows, and Linux.

Experience with industry BI/Reporting toolsets including

Tableau, MicroStrategy, Cognos, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Starburst.

Experience with connecting to Hadoop, Oracle, Sybase, DB2,

Netezza, Teradata, and SQL databases.

Experience with Data Science integration and application

(Python, R).

Experience with ETL tools (Trifecta, Alteryx, SSIS,

Starburst)

Experience with programming languages (Python, APIs, Web

Data Connectors, Tableau Extensions, JavaScript).

Experience with Financial services data and large data

volumes.
