DM Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a high-performing, highly skilled Preventative Maintenance Technician to support our fleet of roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and other operational vehicles in Fife, Washington.

Schedule
- Monday-Friday 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
- Overtime: 3-10 hours per week on average
Pay
- Hourly Pay: $29.00 - $31.75/hour
- Shift Differential: +$1.50/hour
- CDL Premium: +$1.00/hour for CDL holders
- Tool Allowance: $125/month
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on roll-off (hook) trucks, dump trucks, and support equipment
- Identify early signs of wear and potential issues to keep equipment reliable and safe
- Complete DVIR-related maintenance and routine PM services with accuracy and efficiency
- Support Diesel Mechanics with basic repairs and minor troubleshooting
- Ensure all equipment meets DOT, OSHA, and manufacturer standards
- Use fleet maintenance software to complete and document work orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused workspace
- Work professionally with drivers, supervisors, and fellow maintenance team members
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Equipment may have dirt, debris, or waste-related residue, but the shop itself is organized, well-lit, and kept to high cleanliness standards
- Company issues coveralls or work shirts and pants, along with an annual steel-toe boot voucher, to ensure technicians are protected and comfortable
- Exposure to typical shop conditions, including diesel fumes, noise, hydraulic fluids, lubricants, and outdoor elements when performing certain repairs
- Work may involve wet or slippery surfaces and requires awareness of moving vehicles and equipment
- Requires frequent standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, and crawling under trucks, as well as safely lifting 50+ lbs
- All technicians receive ongoing safety training, PPE, and follow OSHA and company safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on preventative maintenance experience with heavy-duty trucks or equipment
- Ability to perform PM services to DOT and OEM standards with precision
- Must provide a complete personal tool set appropriate for heavy-duty service
- Strong working knowledge of brakes, lubrication systems, filters, hydraulics, electrical checks, and safety systems
- Experience using maintenance software or digital work order systems
- Valid driver's license required; CDL or willingness to obtain strongly preferred
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, inspection documents, and service procedures
- Must be able to work independently, stay organized, and consistently deliver high-quality workmanship
