Bathing Brands, a national leader in the distribution, installation, and maintenance of steam and sauna bathing environments, is searching for a full-time Supply Chain Coordinator.
The Supply Chain Coordinator will assist in overseeing purchasing and forecasting efforts while driving cost savings by reviewing vendor pricing and negotiating with vendors for warranty and spare parts. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with acute attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Assist the procurement team to source, negotiate, and purchase materials we need to support the sauna and steam markets we serve.
- Develop strategies to manage vendor order forms
- Understand forecasting needs and metrics for long lead time vendors
- Ensure pricing of all products is competitive and achieves desired profitability
- Negotiate with vendors for best price and lead times
- Develop and maintain tools to improve cycle time and process efficiency within the business
- Follow up on critical purchasing orders to assure delivery and cost objectives are met.
- Communicate performance expectations and provide qualitative feedback to supply chain regarding performance of suppliers.
- Support gross profit goals by negotiating and controlling product costs, lead times, freight terms and purchase quantity requirements.
- Maintain existing supplier relationships
- Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Work cohesively with other departments; sales, support, and warehouse
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Moderate understanding of distribution, supply chain, procurement, and forecasting
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years' experience in a supply chain management role
- Flexibility to work scheduled hours and extra hours as required
- Operate a computer and basic software at a proficient level
- Excellent communication skills
