Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client, a leader in the energy sector, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Management department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Fort Payne, AL

Pay Range: $30 - $34 hourly

What's the Job?

  • Conduct supplier qualification and development, ensuring high technical and quality standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) according to applicable standards.
  • Implement and optimize the Supplier Quality Management Process to ensure the requested quality.
  • Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs and track their effectiveness.
  • Participate in design reviews and support early supplier involvement for new designs.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a similar discipline; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical field or working in Supply Chain.
  • Experience in supplier qualification, product/process qualification, and technical supplier development.
  • Knowledge of ISO & ASME Standards and familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
