Job Summary:
The Structural/Geotechnical Engineer supports the design, analysis, and installation of buried structures. This role works closely with internal engineering teams, sales, and contractors to ensure designs meet industry standards and project requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in structural and geotechnical applications.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings (submittal and shop) for underground storm water storage systems, pipe structures, buried bridges, MSE walls, and related fabricated products.
- Perform basic structural and geotechnical analyses related to buried structures.
- Support design and reinforcement detailing of fittings and structural components as required.
- Assist in developing drawings and layouts for special projects from concept through fabrication.
- Provide technical support to sales representatives, regional engineers, and engineering consultants.
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure designs applicable, practical, manufacturable, and meet project timelines.
- Participate in new product development, testing, and evaluation of structural performance.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of standard product drawings and engineering documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes and product design.
- Perform additional engineering or project-related tasks as assigned.
