How You'll Help Us Connect the World As a Software Quality Assurance Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for Virtual Converged Cable Access Platform Testing and Monitoring as part of the Access Network Solutions. You will work closely with Quality Assurance Teams to provide timely delivery of the Software Releases to customers with increased quality. This role will be based in Lowell, MA, USA.
You Will Make an Impact By - Developing and employ testing strategy and tools based on interactions with feature architects and software engineers, based on industry standards and customer requirements.
- Developing and execute both manual and automated tests.
- Performing data throughput, latency, and frame-loss tests using Spirent Test Center.
- Developing automated tests using Python in Linux environment.
Required Qualifications for Consideration - Actively pursuing a bachelor's (upcoming sophomores, juniors & seniors) or master's degree in the following Computer Science or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Understanding of wireline access network architecture.
- Understanding of testing IP routing and signaling.
- Understanding of networking communications, IPv4 / IPv6, TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, TFTP, UDP, TELNET, SMTP, ICMP, SNMP,
- Understanding of automation framework, testing embedded systems, and corresponding tool suites.
- Experience with Linux (CentOS and Ubuntu)
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship
