Our client, a leading organization in the industry, is seeking a Site/Space Planner 1 to join their team. As a Site/Space Planner 1, you will be part of the Facilities Management Department supporting workplace planning and space optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Site/Space Planner 1

Location: Rochester, NY

What's the Job?

  • Enter, track, and close employee move-related work orders in the work order management system
  • Coordinate and schedule contract labor such as movers and furniture installers to support daily move activities
  • Serve as a point of contact for move-related requests, providing clear communication and status updates to employees and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain and update the occupancy and space management database to ensure accurate headcount and seating information
  • Support move planning for small- to medium-scale employee relocations across multiple buildings

What's Needed?

  • Proficient in using space planning & design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills for effective space utilization
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects
  • Clear communication and presentation skills to articulate planning concepts and proposals
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes, ADA requirements, and occupational standards
