Site Automation Engineer

As the Site Automation Engineer you are responsible for maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting manufacturing site equipment. Applying your electrical and mechanical knowledge, you will implement preventative maintenance programs and reduce equipment downtime. You will play a fundamental role in upholding Plastipak's standard of excellence and exceeding customer expectations.

You Will:

  • Maintain machinery and equipment, including vision systems, production equipment, palletizers, and plant support machines
  • Support upgrades and troubleshoot control systems with Allen Bradley Micrologix, Compactlogix and Contrologix using RS 500 and 5000 software
  • Perform preventative maintenance & process control adjustments on industrial equipment
  • Collaborate with internal partners and vendors to manage projects related to electrical maintenance
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to meet production and customer needs
  • Foster positive team engagement and a culture of TPM, GMP and Safety
  • Contribute to the site's cross-functional achievement of cost, delivery, quality, and reliability goals

You Have:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant technician or engineer experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial controls systems
  • Functional knowledge of RSLogix 5/500/5000, Factorytalk View Studio, Siemens Step 7
