Position Summary:
Barsplice is seeking a hands-on, experienced Shipping and Receiving Manager to lead the daily operations of our warehouse department. This role is responsible for supervising the shipping and receiving team, managing logistics, and ensuring materials and products are moved efficiently and accurately in and out of our facility. This position plays a key role in maintaining product flow, safety standards, and team productivity.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and lead the shipping and receiving team, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Train, coach, and evaluate employees to support growth, safety, and operational excellence
  • Plan and coordinate daily outbound and inbound shipments, including ensuring proper documentation
  • Ensure accurate receiving, inspection, and inventory of incoming materials
  • Function as a proactive, engaged supervisor supporting both leadership and frontline responsibilities
  • Maintain organized shipping/receiving areas, inventory accuracy, and adherence to 5S/lean practices
  • Collaborate with production, inventory, and customer service teams to resolve shipment issues or delays
  • Oversee compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations within the department
  • Monitor equipment, identify maintenance needs, and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Utilize ERP and shipping software to maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures, inventory control, and freight coordination
  • Experience training, coaching, and evaluating employee performance
  • Demonstrate strong team collaboration skills and lead with a servant leadership mindset
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficient with ERP systems, shipping software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to repeatedly lift objects weighing up to 35 pounds; objects up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to walk, push, reach overhead and bend to the floor
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements over an extended period of time
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or certifications in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus
