About the Role:
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Sewing Machine Maintenance Technician to support company with maintenance and repair of facilities, infrastructure, and production machinery. This position plays a vital role in ensuring equipment runs efficiently to meet production and quality goals.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on sewing machines and facility equipment
  • Respond promptly to service flags on the production floor
  • Maintain, organize, and track machine parts and shop inventory
  • Assist with facility repairs, light woodworking, and general maintenance needs
  • Conduct preventative maintenance according to schedules and company standards
  • Work closely with the Lead Mechanic, Process Engineering, and production teams on machine setups and new product lines
  • Complete all necessary maintenance documentation accurately and on time
  • Safely follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures and all departmental safety expectations
  • Support organization and cleanliness in the maintenance area
  • Participate in training with the Lead Mechanic or mentor until proficient with all machinery types

What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of industrial sewing machine maintenance experience preferred
  • Knowledge of machine repair, electrical wiring, plumbing, and welding/brazing
  • Certification in sewing machine repair, electrical, plumbing, or welding is a plus
  • Experience with programmable sewing machines, CNC equipment, or AutoCAD preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and documentation tools
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work overhead
  • Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods
  • Use of hands and arms for reaching and handling tools
  • Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively in a production environment
