Job description
Your tasks can include, but are not limited to:
- Perform field service work in a variety of disciplines
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and other services on iDEAL Welding System equipment at customer locations and in-house
- Perform equipment installation, including setting into operation and customer training
- Perform service evaluations and troubleshoot remotely
- Read mechanical drawings and install machines per drawings
- Read electrical drawings and install controls, including wiring
- Provide support to the following departments as needed: Service, Machine Sales, Parts Sales, Logistics
- After your training period in Lippstadt/Germany, you will work at iDEAL Welding Systems L.P. in Rockford/IL.
Required profile
Qualifications:
- Technical qualification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or similar Initial experience in resistance welding is a plus, but not required
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics preferred
- Experience with electronics and PLC knowledge would be an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Close attention to detail with a flexible and conscientious work style
