Senior Supply Chain Manager

Position Summary

The Senior Supply Chain Manager is the operational leader responsible for end-to-end supply chain execution across ITC Manufacturing's facilities. This role owns procurement, planning, logistics, and inventory management, ensuring reliable material availability, disciplined ERP processes, and cost-effective flow of goods across Phoenix and Columbus sites.

As a hands-on leader, the Senior Supply Chain Manager drives process improvement, builds operational discipline, and leads the supply chain team in executing to company standards. The role balances tactical ownership of daily activities with the leadership required to align operations across sites and functions.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and develop the supply chain team.
  • Set clear expectations, manage workloads, and hold team accountable for accuracy, timeliness, and results.
  • Provide coaching and training to build skills in ERP usage, procurement practices, and logistics execution.
Procurement & Supplier Management
  • Oversee purchase order execution, vendor setup, and part creation in ERP.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance in cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Monitor and address supplier on-time delivery, lead times, and defect rates.
  • Support VP Operations in supplier negotiations and sourcing initiatives.
Logistics & Freight Management
  • Direct inbound and outbound freight scheduling, ensuring shipments meet production and customer timelines.
  • Manage carrier performance, rate negotiations, and compliance with customer routing guides.
  • Coordinate inter-facility transfers and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Partner with Shipping Managers to improve cost efficiency and delivery performance.
Planning Development
  • Support Corporate Planning manager, in collaboration with VP of IT and Systems Strategy, in developing technologically advanced planning processes
  • Ensure planning processes are standardized across sites
  • Drive use of ERP planning tools and processes.
Inventory Execution
  • Ensure daily inventory practices (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments) are accurate and on time.
  • Execute and enforce ERP transaction discipline to maintain data integrity.
  • Support Corporate Inventory Manager to resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Support cycle counts, audits, and corporate-led reporting by providing site-level execution and data accuracy.
ERP Utilization & Data Integrity
  • Own supply chain data accuracy and compliance within ERP (Epicor preferred).
  • Train and oversee staff in ERP processes to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to track operational performance and identify process gaps.
Process Improvement & Standardization
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement, planning, logistics, and ERP processes.
  • Ensure standardization of supply chain practices across Phoenix and Columbus.
  • Document and implement standard operating procedures for supply chain activities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with production, sales, and finance to eliminate bottlenecks and improve performance.
Performance Metrics
  • Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD): 95%
  • Procurement Cost Savings: Meet assigned annual targets
  • Freight Cost as % of Sales: Year-over-year improvement
  • ERP Compliance: 100% adherence to setup and transaction standards
  • Process Corrective Actions: 90% closure of identified corrective actions on time
  • Cross-Site Standardization: Achieve milestones for harmonizing supply chain processes
  • Team Development: Demonstrated skill growth of direct reports and reduced avoidable errors.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Manufacturing/industrial experience required.
  • Proven ability to lead procurement, logistics, planning and ERP process execution with measurable results.
  • ERP expertise (Epicor strongly preferred) and strong Excel/data analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated success in fixing broken processes and sustaining improvements.
  • Strong people management skills with ability to drive accountability and build team capability.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Financial acumen to support cost reduction, working capital efficiency, and service goals.
  • Availability during critical operational periods such as quarter-end, large order shipments, or supply disruptions.
  • Ability to travel periodically between Phoenix and Columbus facilities.
