Job DetailsWe are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Superintendent to join our team. This role will oversee our multifamily, condo, mixed-use, and affordable-housing portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vertical and mid-rise construction, with a proven track record of problem-solving and project management. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative environment, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure.
- Manage and coordinate with project team members and subcontractors, ensuring all work is carried out according to plan.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Lead problem-solving efforts on the job site, identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
- Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to senior management.
- Implement cost control measures to ensure project is delivered within budget.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Superintendent role, specifically within the construction industry.
- Proven experience managing multifamily, condo, mixed-use and affordable-housing construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of vertical and mid-rise construction.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of construction management software and technology.
- Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
