Your Role
This is safety at the highest level-where every mile carries artists, athletes, executives, and high-profile clients. There's no margin for error. The work you do will directly protect people, property, and the Encore brand.
As our Senior Safety Specialist , you won't just maintain compliance-you'll elevate it. You'll take full ownership of our transportation safety program, from responding to emergencies and investigating incidents to building a culture where safety is second nature. You don't need to come in knowing every in and out of the luxury motorcoach world, but you do need the mindset to dig in, ask smart questions, and become the expert others rely on.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives under pressure, communicates with clarity, and knows how to lead people through example-not just enforce rules.
Responsibilities
Lead Safety Strategy : Own and evolve Encore's transportation safety program. Stay ahead of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA compliance and drive policies that actually get followed.
Incident Commander : Be the first call during on-road emergencies. Coordinate response, manage documentation, and lead post-incident reviews.
Accident Investigations : Run root cause investigations like a pro. Document, report, and implement long-term fixes-not just band-aids.
Compliance Oversight : Maintain DQ files, audit HOS records, and enforce standards through tools like Samsara, JJ Keller, and Lytx.
Coach Safety Culture : Lead with confidence and charisma during training, 1:1 coaching, and new driver onboarding. Build trust-and accountability.
Driver Qualification Oversight : Ensure all DQ files are complete and compliant, including MVRs, drug/alcohol testing, and medical certifications.
Cross-Functional Partnering : Work closely with Fleet Services, HR, and Ops to identify risks early and implement safety-first solutions companywide.
Workers' Comp + Injury Claims : Oversee claims from start to finish. Track OSHA logs, follow up with injured employees, and keep communication tight.
Data + Reporting : Track safety metrics, identify trends, and report findings to leadership and insurers. Decisions start with your data.
Fleet Safety Admin : Monitor registrations, IFTA, insurance, and inspections to ensure every vehicle is good to go-every time.
