A bit about us:

Our client is an established construction and project advisory firm providing owner's representation and project management services for complex building programs. The team partners with public, institutional, and private-sector owners to manage projects from early planning and design through construction, occupancy, and closeout.

The organization's owner's representation practice supports clients across a range of markets, including K-12 education, higher education, municipal/public facilities, healthcare, commercial, and institutional construction. Its work can encompass project planning, design management, budgeting and cost control, procurement, scheduling, construction oversight, risk management, commissioning, and closeout.

Why join us?
  • Represent the owner: Sit on the client side of the table and help drive critical decisions rather than managing construction solely from a GC perspective.
  • Own projects from start to finish: Be involved throughout planning, design, procurement, construction, turnover, and closeout.
  • Work on complex, high-impact projects: Projects may span educational, municipal, healthcare, institutional, and commercial environments.
  • Broaden your construction expertise: Gain exposure to budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, procurement, contract administration, risk management, and executive-level client communication.
  • High level of client visibility: Serve as a key point of contact between owners, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Career development: Our client offers the opportunity to grow into larger project, program, account, and leadership responsibilities. Vertex publicly highlights multiple career pathways across project management, technical expertise, client account management, and operations leadership.
  • Collaborative environment: Work alongside professionals from construction, engineering, architecture, and technical consulting backgrounds.
  • Meaningful project ownership: The role is well suited for someone who enjoys solving problems, anticipating risk, and guiding clients through complicated construction decisions.

  • Strong working knowledge of design and construction processes, procurement/bidding, and contract administration.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly and adapt to a range of organizational cultures.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, MCPPO) a plus.
