Job Details
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-end commercial interiors and tenant improvement projects in Austin, TX, owning budget, schedule, client relationships, and project team leadership from preconstruction through close-out.
Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the construction process on fast-paced, high-end commercial interior and tenant improvement projects
Own project budgets and schedules, including cost control, forecasting, and change order management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, carrying the relationship from preconstruction through project completion
Manage all communication between clients, design teams, landlords, and subcontractors
Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers reporting to you
Actively participate in preconstruction, including estimating, budgeting, and scheduling
Oversee project documentation including requests for information (RFI), submittals, and change orders
Participate in business development activities including client meals, entertainment, events, and outings
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager with a commercial general contractor
Demonstrated ownership of project budgets and schedules on commercial interiors or tenant improvement projects
Experience carrying client relationships and managing communication with owners, architects, and landlords
Experience leading Project Managers or Assistant Project Managers
Ability to read drawings, build schedules, and use construction platforms such as PlanGrid
Familiarity with current construction processes and technology
Able to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction from senior management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Interior tenant improvement or ground up experience required
