We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in analog and digital design to analyze and replicate the functionality of pre-existing integrated circuits (ICs), as well as mixed-signal and passive components. This role involves evaluating component behavior, identifying critical functional characteristics, and designing replacements that support legacy systems with compatible performance and interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end design of complex mixed signal (analog & digital) electronics modules and small systems, from concept and architecture through schematic, layout, test, and production.
- Responsible for circuit design, test, debug, and fault diagnosis across project lifecycle.
- Develop bring-up plans and design verification plans for new hardware and systems.
- Perform bring-up and key verification testing of modules and small integrated systems to complete validation.
- Release modules and assemblies to production, working with the Manufacturing and Test Engineering teams.
- Application of DFM&T (Design for Manufacture & Test) best practices.
- Support internal & customer discussions, maintaining well defined schedules.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to get a US Security clearance / US Citizenship
- Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in board-level electronics design, analysis, and test.
- Experience bringing up prototype hardware.
- Experience doing circuit simulation and analysis using SPICE software.
- Experience using common lab equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, power supplies and signal generators.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with programmable logic devices.
- Experience with Cadence OrCAD PCB design tools.
- Experience with board-level signal integrity and/or power integrity simulation tools.
- Direct experience designing high-reliability electronics for defense applications, including part derating, worst-case analysis, Monte Carlo analysis and thermal constraints.
- Experience with recognized standards including MIL standards
- Experience collaborating with other technical disciplines such as Analog, Mechanical, and RF, Manufacturing and Test engineers.
- Knowledge of semiconductor packaging design.
- Experience with programming and/or scripting languages such as Python.
