Position Summary
DCM Services is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to serve as a key analytical partner across Operations, Finance, Client Services, Compliance, and Business Development. This role is ideal for a hands-on analyst with deep experience in SQL and Power BI who thrives on turning complex, multi-source data into clear, actionable insights.
This is a senior individual contributor role with high visibility, ownership of enterprise reporting, and regular interaction with senior leadership and external clients. Strong communication skills and the ability to proactively partner with stakeholders are essential.
What You'll Do Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Own the full reporting lifecycle, from requirements gathering through automation, access governance, and ongoing performance review
- Design, build, and publish Power BI dashboards and paginated reports using DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and row-level security
- Ensure reports are intuitive, visually consistent, and aligned with business needs, including correct date logic and "as-of" reporting
- Automate recurring reporting processes using VBA macros and Power Automate workflows
Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Translate ambiguous business questions into well-defined analytical frameworks and measurable outcomes
- Perform root cause analysis to explain changes in key performance metrics
- Conduct cohort analysis, liquidation curve modeling, coverage rate analysis, and forecasting to support portfolio and collections performance
- Design and analyze randomized controlled experiments (A/B tests) to evaluate operational and strategy changes
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on client KPIs, operational benchmarks, and reporting standards
Data Management & SQL Development
- Write advanced T-SQL queries using CTEs, window functions, complex joins, and conditional logic
- Independently navigate SQL Server environments (SSMS) to explore schemas, views, and stored procedures
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity; document assumptions and escalate data quality issues as needed
- Partner with IT on ETL and upstream data flows to troubleshoot and improve reporting pipelines
Business Partnership & Communication
- Collaborate with Finance and Business Development on data-driven pricing models for prospective clients
- Ensure reporting aligns with regulatory requirements including FDCPA, TCPA, GLBA, and HIPAA where applicable
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and clients using clear, executive-ready storytelling
What You Bring Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
- 3-5 years of analytics or business intelligence experience in financial services, healthcare, or collections
- Advanced T-SQL skills (CTEs, window functions, complex joins, debugging)
- Strong Power BI experience, including DAX, data modeling, RLS, and Power BI Service
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Pivot and VBA automation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to non-technical audiences
- Working familiarity with AI/ML concepts applied to analytics, such as anomaly detection or predictive modeling
Preferred Experience
- Collections industry metrics (RPC%, coverage rates, liquidation curves, portfolio performance)
- Power Automate for report distribution and workflow automation
- Experimental design and statistical significance testing
- Python or R for advanced analytics or modeling
- Familiarity with SQL Server performance and concurrency concepts
