Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for all employees. Your expertise will help foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across our organization.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments across all work sites.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and safety violations, and recommend corrective actions.

Coordinate safety training sessions and ensure all employees are informed of safety protocols.

Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation for compliance purposes.

Collaborate with management and employees to promote safety awareness and best practices.

Stay updated on industry safety standards and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.

Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in safety management, occupational health, or related field.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to conduct safety training and presentations effectively.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour or equivalent are preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Performs routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment as directed

Education and Experience:

High School diploma / GED, required

Completed Associates / Bachelor's Degree, preferred

Prefer 1+ years of experience in this position or related field

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.

This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping.

Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment

The 1st of the month following your 90th day of employment, you will be eligible to enroll in our 401k plan offered thru John Hancock.
