Regional Driver Manager

As the Dispatcher, you are expected to execute the day-to-day activity of your assigned driver fleet. This includes monitoring of the fleet, accurately distributing, receiving and updating information. You would be responsible for identifying and participating in the resolution of issues relating to day-to-day activity of the driver. You must be well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness in carrying out daily activities.

Dispatcher Duties Include:

  • Transmitting and receiving of all information relevant to the driver/cartage company performing their duties with the company and client requirements
  • The handling of all driver related messages or calls within assigned and overflow queues
  • Ensuring the system reflects an accurate portrayal of events and times
  • Upload shipment status information into our system and communicate service updates to our client
  • Immediately addressing all scheduling conflicts or issues as they arise
  • Providing drivers with plans and routing as required
  • Reporting and documenting of all customer service, planning, and driver related issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Ensuring day-to-day activity of the assigned fleet is confirmed and complete by end of day
  • Fulfill carrier screening and compliance policies
  • Forming positive working relations with all drivers

Dispatcher Experience and Qualifications:

  • Prior dispatch experience preferred but not necessary for this position
  • Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written & oral), multi-tasking and negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, communication, problem solving and planning abilities
  • Ability to multitask and to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong computer user skills - MS Office Suite
