Sprague is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Recruiter to support our talent acquisition efforts and help create a value-added experience for candidates and hiring teams alike.


As part of our collaborative recruiting team, you'll play a vital role in sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting onboarding-ensuring every step of the hiring journey runs smoothly. You'll work closely with hiring managers and back office teams to help bring top talent into the organization and reinforce Sprague's reputation as a great place to work.


What You'll Do:

  • Source & Attract Talent: Identify and communicate with candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and events.
  • Support the Hiring Process: Coordinate interviews, communicate with candidates, and maintain accurate records in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Collaborate with the Team: Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand job needs and keep the process moving efficiently.
  • Enhance the Candidate Experience: Ensure timely communication, help streamline workflows, and support a positive, professional hiring journey.
  • Ensure a Seamless Onboarding Experience: Prepare onboarding materials, schedule orientations, and support new hires as they join the team.
  • Stay Compliant: Support documentation and processes that meet all local, state, and federal hiring regulations.

Detailed Job Description


Position Title: Recruiter

Department: People Operations

Reports to: Reports to People Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Exemption: NA

EEOC Class: Individual Contributor

Salary: Spokane 00 plus annual bonus

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Recruiter is to coordinate the talent acquisition process from sourcing candidates to onboarding new team members. This position plays a critical role in supporting Sprague's brand reputation and growth, ensuring effective and efficient recruitment of top talent, organizing a robust talent pipeline, and fostering collaborative relationships with hiring managers and internal stakeholders. With a proactive problem-solving mindset, the recruiter will seek out opportunities to enhance the candidate experience, streamline processes, reduce time to fill open positions, and reinforce Sprague's reputation as a great place to work.

Essential Functions:

  • Sourcing Candidates: Utilize various sourcing methods, including online job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals to attract top talent.
  • Maintain Candidate Database: Organize candidate data and communication using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Screening and Interviewing: Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit for the role.
  • Coordinate the Hiring Process: Work closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements, source applicants, schedule interviews, and communicate with selected and rejected candidates, extend job offers, and conducting pre-hire screening checks.
  • Onboarding: Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, working with managers and back-office teams to set up new hire profiles and access, order equipment and uniforms, schedule orientation and training, and facilitate new-hire onboarding presentations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all recruitment practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Must Haves for this Role:

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting or HR support
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and ATS tools
  • Ability to travel occasionally for recruitment events, training, and team meetings

Bonus Points:

  • Associate's degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • HR or Recruiting certification
  • Experience in the pest control industry


Pre-Hire Screening Requirements:

  • 5+ years Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
  • Criminal Background Check: Federal, State, County
  • 5-Panel Drug Screen

Detailed Qualifications


Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years' experience in recruiting and/or human resources.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, able to communicate complex concepts and risk factors to stakeholders and influence decision making.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment strategies and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability and aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite and other technology necessary for successful day-to-day functioning in a business environment.
  • Ability to pass background screening requirements, including identity, education, and criminal history checks
  • Ability to travel occasionally for recruitment events and meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Human Resources or Recruitment.
  • Previous experience in the pest control industry.

Physical Requirements:

Long periods of stationary work, working on a computer, moving between various work areas, going up and down stairs, talking on the phone, working with office/computer equipment, and sitting at desk or table while listening, talking and taking notes.
