Shipping / Receiving Associate

Shipping/Receiving is responsible for:

Delivery of products, filling out Receiving log and adding Lot numbers to product.

Shipping prep for out going orders, loading trucks and filling out the outbound log.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepping orders for staging and shipping.
  • Responsible for order accuracy before/during loading.
  • Operate tow motor safely and efficiently; conduct forklift inspection at the beginning of each shift.
  • Receiving inbound and returned material and document using appropriate paperwork.
  • Pull and stage all box to bulk loads for production.
  • Conduct box to box repacking following work order instructions
  • Generate inventory labels/shipping labels using Vistatrac.
  • Utilize proper equipment and written procedures for unloading/loading and movement of material.
  • Maintain methods for performing segregation and labeling of damaged product.
  • Maintain a clean work space.
  • Inspection of inbound materials, outbound materials, and returned materials; Identify contaminations by visual inspections
  • Responsible for ensuring all inbound paperwork is accurate and has the correct documentation; Accurately and legibly fill out inbound/outbound logs.
  • Maintain a safe working environment; observe all OSHA and Company safety policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Use Vistatrac to manage inventory movement.

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • 1 year of experience in a similar position

. High school diploma preferred; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to round to nearest whole number.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
