2nd shift Quality Inspector utility player to join our team. 2nd shift- Monday-Friday 3:30pm-12:00am Overtime may be requested but not required Hi-Tek is a Drug-Free Workplace and conducts pre-employment drug and background screening and random drug screeningResponsibilities: Primary Role Airflow Quality Technician You will receive training to become a certified inspector if selected for this roleLoad and unload parts for airflow, and other testing as requiredVerifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and airflow equipment as necessary such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometersPrep parts using foil tape and sealing waxPerform and Document Scheduled Airflow test including but not limited to: Shut-off valve test, System leak test, and Flow restrictions test and record resultsAnalyze and interpret test resultsDocument scheduled airflow test log and reports into Microsoft ExcelInterpret geometric dimensions and tolerances to complete inspection as requiredClean parts using chemical degreaser and parts wash machine
Responsibilities: Secondary Role You will assist as a CMM Technician if work is slow in Airflow Perform incoming part inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspectionsVerifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessaryLoads, unloads, and analyzes measurement data to identify deviations from specificationsClean, set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment prior to useProvide necessary data to machine operators to reduce defect rate
Other responsibilities shared by both roles:Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specificationsCommunicate effectively with engineering, management, and CNC operators to ensure that measurement processes and inspection methodologies are optimizedInform management when concerns with quality issues ariseDocuments actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP systemOperates overhead crane when necessaryMaintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping dutiesAny other duties assigned to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization's values
Qualifications, Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredThree + years of Coordinate Measuring Machine CMM production operation experience preferredExperience in an industrial / manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferredExperience required in at least one of the following: Calypso, OpenDMIS, or MCOSMOS softwareExperience required in at least one of the following: ZEISS, Mitutoyo, or WENZEL CMM machinesProficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specificationsStrong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Knowledge of linear and rotary axes a plusKnowledge of quality control principles and practicesMust be able to follow verbal and written instructions in EnglishMust be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally and in writing in EnglishMust meet the ITAR definition of 120.15 U.S. person
