POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the Portfolio Management department. Responsible for the ongoing quality assurance of all loans in our portfolio and loan servicing processes. Monitor processes and review financial spreadsheets, reports, loan files monthly to ensure accuracy and that procedures are being followed. Ensure that all loans run in compliance with best practices in the banking industry as well as uphold compliance with regulatory and audit requisites. Work with the Portfolio Management team to manage the legal process for all documents, as needed to assist in finalizing them and ensuring documents are filed correctly per guidelines established. Perform special projects for the department ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform regular and various audits including those of monthly financial statements and prior-day postings to the Core Processing system. Work with the Loan Operations team for the daily processes of Tax and Insurance payment transactions. Lead discussions regarding audit results with Portfolio Management team. Assist in the loan modification and extension process through document review and execution. Prepare variance reports comparing actual financial results to budgets. Ensure post-closing items are completed in the required timeline by using the Tickler Report. Ensure files are saved in accordance with our department guidelines. Assist in the review of loans to ensure loans are properly risk rated and work with the portfolio managers to complete the necessary forms to make the appropriate changes to risk ratings. Coordinate efforts for all external audit requests to ensure items are submitted in the correct format, meeting all deadlines as required. Assist the Portfolio Management team in the onboarding of new loans through document review. on HUD, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac program updates and policy changes. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of three to five years of relative banking and loan administrative experience Ability to review and understand legal documents as they pertain to the Loan. Must be proficient in basic software applications such as Microsoft Word, and Excel. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities, with a proven ability to build strong working relationships with both internal teams and external clients. Skilled in problem-solving and analytical thinking, with clear and concise oral and written communication capabilities. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to think proactively and work independently of supervision. WORK ENVIRONMENT: We offer a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote after the initial 90-day period. COMPENSATION DISCLOSURE: In accordance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are committed to providing transparent wage information for all posted job opportunities. The wage range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 annually, plus discretionary performance-based bonus. Compensation is determined based on factors such as Experience, Qualifications, and Internal equity.
