Overview:
As a Purch asing Warehouse Assistant at QXO , you'll coordinate deliveries, support fleet operations, and help drive safety and efficiency across daily logistics.
What you will do
- Accurately fill orders, load materials, and complete all related paperwork, including pick tickets and inventory sheets
- Notify Purchasing and Sales of unfillable orders or low inventory; communicate inventory changes to the Receiving Coordinator
- Receive, inspect, label, and properly store materials-including non-stock items-in correct bin locations
- Perform regular cycle counts, reconcile printed tickets to stock, and verify product descriptions and quantities
- Communicate professionally with customers and respond in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere to all protocols, always wearing appropriate PPE
What you will bring
- Forklift experience, including loading and unloading trucks
- 2-3 years of warehouse and inventory control experience, preferably with building materials
- Prior team lead or supervisory experience with direct customer interaction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with coworkers, vendors, and customers
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, and lift 75+ lbs repeatedly
