Public Works Construction Estimator (California)
US Accurate Construction & Development Inc. is seeking an experienced Public Works Estimator to assist with bidding public projects throughout California.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
- Obtain and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Calculate labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs
- Estimate projects using California prevailing wage requirements
- Review DIR requirements and public works compliance
- Prepare complete bid summaries and recommendations
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of construction estimating experience
- Experience estimating California public works projects
- Knowledge of prevailing wage and DIR requirements
- Ability to read architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans
- Experience with school districts, city, county, or government projects preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Required: Experience estimating California public works projects, prevailing wage labor, DIR compliance, subcontractor bid leveling, and public agency bidding
