Project Mechanical Engineer (Senior)

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and industrial sector, is seeking a Project Mechanical Engineer (Senior) to join their team. As a Project Mechanical Engineer (Senior), you will be part of the engineering department supporting project management and technical development teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Luling, LA

Pay Range: $60.00-$76.00 Hourly

What's the Job?

• Support diverse manufacturing projects by designing and analyzing complex mechanical systems.
• Develop preliminary project descriptions, schedules, and cost estimates to ensure project feasibility and efficiency.
• Perform stress analysis, create construction specifications, and procure equipment and materials aligned with project needs.
• Review vendor and discipline drawings, ensuring conformance to industry standards, codes, and safety practices.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget, including onsite support during construction and startup phases.

What's Needed?

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency with design standards, codes, and engineering analysis techniques.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities, with a commitment to safety and quality.
