We are actively seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join and grow in the PPG organization. The Production Supervisor will ensure all safety, production, quality, and plant process are being correctly practiced and executed.

- Ensure compliance with safety policies and rules
- Coordinate production schedule as directed by department manager
- Perform production machinist duties as needed to fill in and meet commitment schedule
- Start of shift inspection of fixtures and gauges to confirm touch points and indicators are in proper working order
- Perform first piece sign off at all workstations without exception
- Ensure paperwork is correct and complete per AS9100D standard
- Ensure machine function and output is according to specifications
- Meet or exceed daily production goals
- Act as a resource for employees to resolve operational issues during the shift
- Provide daily feedback to management with regard to machine, quality, or operational issues
- Assist teams to achieve existing goals in production and quality
- Identify and support continuous improvement efforts
- Ensure compliance with company polices with regard to attendance and conduct
- Be hands on working lead, train new employees, trouble shoot problems as needed
- Coach, support, and encourage shift team members to grow and learn
- Perform other production work-related duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- High school diploma or GED required
- 4 years machining experience or 6 years supervising in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematic calculations
- Understanding and execution of progressive discipline documentation requirements
- Ability and willingness to hold shift accountable in a professional and encouraging manner
- Solid understanding of machining / manufacturing processes and environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are a must
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies are a plus
Compensation
- Compensation for this role starts at $28.00 per hour

Most positions require access to ITAR/EAR-controlled information.
