General Job Description

As a Production Planner at Dogwood Industries, you'll be a crucial force behind the seamless coordination of our manufacturing operations. You'll take ownership of work order planning from concept to execution, ensuring every job on the shop floor is accurate, efficient, and ready for success. This is not just a desk job. Your work will directly shape the pace and precision of our production teams across two factory locations. You'll collaborate across departments including Engineering, Procurement, Scheduling, and Shop Floor to transform plans into action and solve problems before they happen. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Translate project requirements into detailed work orders in our ERP system
  • Ensure production routings align with actual shop capabilities and project schedules
  • Attach and validate technical documentation, drawings, and BOMs with accuracy
  • Partner with Engineering and Procurement to ensure material readiness
  • Conduct quick capacity checks and flag conflicts early
  • Continuously refine work order accuracy to support a growing operation
  • Be a champion for planning excellence by driving consistency, data integrity, and workflow improvement
  • Support two factory sites (Everett and Sedro Woolley) with cross location coordination
  • Back up teammates, absorb knowledge, and grow into higher level planning duties
Requirements:

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, or a related role
  • Proficiency working in an ERP/MRP system
  • Familiarity with production routings, BOMs, and manufacturing workflows
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage transactional data
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow standard work instructions
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Design, Procurement, and Production teams
  • Basic understanding of capacity planning concepts is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and work within structured systems and processes
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to grow into more advanced planning responsibilities

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
This position requires light physical activity in an office environment. To perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly seated at a computer desk with the option to stand, is utilizing a phone frequently and participating in meetings with colleagues. There are steps in the office.


Compensation

$80,000 - $105,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location

This is an onsite position at the Dogwood Everett Factory at th Ave NE, Everett, WA 98201. Travel to Dogwood's Bothell Corporate office or Sedro-Woolley Factory office, as needed.
