Description:
The Production Manger will be responsible for all production aspects associated with kSARIA's military/aerospace assembly products. The Production Manager will lead a staff of supervisors, cell leaders, and assemblers. Responsible for production-related communication flow, coordination of resources between production cells, and will be responsible for achieving customer delivery goals and product quality objectives. The Production Manager will report to the VP of Operations.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate with all departments within the organization to meet/exceed the customer requirements.
- Provide production status and advice on any issues affecting on-time deliveries.
- Manage manufacturing resources to optimize efficiency and continuously improve performance.
- Maintain manufacturing tooling and equipment required to support production, establish and maintain process for production floor stock inventory.
- Establish and maintain processes related to production.
- Familiarization of Aerospace and other Industry Standards (AS 9100, ISO, IPC, J-STD)
- Coordination of customer communications regarding work order status through sales/ customer service group
- Position overseas both Fiber Optic Cable and Copper Assembly Production
- Advise team on complex issues or areas of improvement
- Determine staffing levels to meet backlog demand and assist in hiring process
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in cable assemblies, harness and box builds
- Excellent communication skills - verbal/written
- Excellent organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of fiber optic termination processes a plus
- Demonstrated supervisory and training skills
- Knowledge in production of defense-related products a plus.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office products
- Working knowledge of ISO9000:2001
- Familiarity of AS9100 preferred
- Detail oriented and quality metric driven
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residence required for US Department of Defense work
- Degree in Engineering discipline preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 yrs experience
