About the Role

To work directly with the Design Director to take the creative vision of a shoot and conduct the execution that brings it to life, owning the logistics, budgets, and vendor relationships from pre-production through final delivery while ensuring every project is on time, on budget, and consistent with the brand's standards. Work with multiple teams within JPMS to coordinate production needs across a high-volume, multi-brand portfolio so all deadlines are met.


This role is hybrid and reports to our Santa Monica Office. There is up to 10% travel.


What You will Do:

Production Management & Logistics

  • Own logistics for photo and video shoots across pre-production, production, post-production, and final delivery
  • Develop and manage production schedules, call sheets, shot lists, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
  • Translate creative/art direction into executable production plans in partnership with Creative and Art Direction
  • Anticipate logistical challenges and resolve them proactively before they impact timelines or quality

Budget & Financial Oversight

  • Build, own, and reconcile production budgets encompassing crew, talent, locations, studios, equipment, payroll, and post-production
  • Review estimates, bids, change orders, POs, and invoices
  • Track costs against approved budgets; communicate risks, variances, and overages with clarity and timeliness
  • Maintain financial accountability across all active projects, ensuring spend stays aligned with approved scope

Vendor & Crew Management

  • Source, negotiate, and manage vendors including production companies, casting, photographers, directors, studios, catering, stylists, and post-production partners
  • Apply discerning judgment in vendor selection, evaluating quality, cost, reliability, and brand fit
  • Oversee on-set production teams including producers, coordinators, and production assistants
  • Ensure all licensing, usage rights, releases, and production documentation are properly captured and archived

Process & Workflow Leadership

  • Manage production workflows within Workfront and shared production documentation systems
  • Ensure production clarification forms, workflows, and approvals are followed to minimize rework and delays
  • Maintain organized production records, asset tracking, and historical documentation

Cross-Functional & Cross-Brand Coordination

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across internal stakeholders and brand teams to ensure alignment before production begins
  • Participate in creative direction reviews, production planning, and status meetings
  • Provide feasibility, resourcing, and timing guidance during early concept development

Brand, Quality & Sustainability

  • Ensure all deliverables meet brand standards, quality expectations, and technical specifications
  • Support sustainability initiatives tied to productions, including reporting and responsible vendor practices


Required Qualifications:

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of production workflows, crew structures, payroll, and post-production processes
  • Proven experience owning and reconciling multi-line production budgets
  • Demonstrated judgment in vendor selection, quality assessment, and production decision-making
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across brands and stakeholder groups in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in creative production, photo/video production, or campaign production, with a demonstrated track record managing complex, multi-day shoots and high-volume project portfolios

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid - Santa Monica, CA studio, with on-set/location work as required

Competitive Compensation:

  • The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including geographic location, experience, skills, and education.
  • Discretionary Bonus Plan: This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
