At Noble Biomaterials, we engineer silver metallized fibers, fabrics, and foams that protect soldiers, support critical care, and enable performance across defense, medical, and consumer applications. As a Process Engineer, you'll design, develop, and optimize the manufacturing processes behind our antimicrobial, conductive, and EMF shielding products.
About the Role
You'll partner with R&D, Production, Engineering, and Quality to launch new products, scale up commercial processes, and continuously improve existing operations. The work spans the full process lifecycle: developing recipes, leading DOEs, troubleshooting production, qualifying new equipment, and maintaining compliance in our ISO 9001 certified operations.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for silver metallized fibers, fabrics, and foam products
- Develop and document process recipes, procedures, SOPs, BOMs, and routings
- Conduct process mapping, root cause analysis, and lead DOEs to drive data-driven decisions
- Analyze process data and KPIs to identify and execute improvements in cost, scrap, efficiency, quality, and performance
- Support new product scale-up, commercialization, and technology transfer from R&D to production
- Validate new equipment and support automation and process control initiatives
- Partner with suppliers and Quality to ensure raw material specifications and availability
- Train and mentor technicians and operators on process best practices
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma)
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Textile Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including DOE design and statistical analysis
- Effective technical writer and communicator
- Comfortable on the production floor in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment
Domain Experience
We're looking for depth in one or more of the following - not all three. Strength in any one area, combined with a willingness to learn the others, is what we need:
- Metal plating (silver, copper, or nickel) - electroless or electrolytic
- Textile or fiber manufacturing - yarn, knitting, fabric, or nonwovens
- Silver chemistry, antimicrobial formulation, or conductive materials
Nice to Have
- JMP, SPC (InfinityQS), or similar statistical tools
- QAD or other ERP experience
- Six Sigma certification, PMP, or 5S training
- Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, or AS9100 regulated environments

- Starting Salary: $58,500-76,000 annually.
