Salary: 125-155k + bonus, depends on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for catheter development projects, providing direction, mentorship, and expertise to cross-functional teams.
- Drive end-to-end product development activities, including concept generation, feasibility, design, prototyping, testing, verification/validation, and design transfer.
- Lead development of catheter sub-assemblies with a strong understanding of materials, processes, manufacturing methods, and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, clinical, and regulatory teams to ensure designs meet requirements and standards.
- Provide hands-on technical execution while also contributing strategically to project planning, risk management, and milestone delivery.
- Support continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices within the engineering team.
Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in medical device product development, with substantial experience in catheter design.
- Extensive industry experience in catheter design and development, ideally at a senior or principal engineer level.
- Proven track record overseeing the full product lifecycle of catheter sub-assemblies.
- Strong technical proficiency with materials, manufacturing processes, and test methods used in catheter development.
- Ability to lead technically while still contributing as an individual contributor.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
