Overview:
We're looking for a Sheet Metal Press Brake Operator to join our team! As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a critical role in our production process, ensuring high-quality sheet metal components are formed with precision and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating a press brake or similar equipment in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
- Strong mechanical skills and experience with adjusting and maintaining machinery.
- Familiarity with various sheet metal materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.) and their characteristics.
- Must be able to read dial calipers and micrometers
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and form sheet metal according to specifications.
- Read blueprints and work orders to determine job requirements, including material type, thickness, and bend angles.
- 5+ years of experience as a Press Brake Operator. (Sheet Metal)
- Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job and ensure machines are properly adjusted.
- Monitor and inspect completed pieces for accuracy, ensuring that all bends, cuts, and dimensions meet required tolerances.
