The PLC Maintenance Technician is an integral part of the Nicholasville Reliability/Maintenance team. They will be focused on scheduled repair work for the many different assets across our plant. This role specialized in PLC/Control repair but will also be required to learn mechanical maintenance as well.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Each person regardless of role or position is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and Quality and GMP
- This position is responsible for assuming the role and responsibilities of maintaining and/or repairing all Plant equipment to keep them working in a safe and efficient manner
- Work with the production and maintenance team to achieve quality products and maintain production on all equipment
- Install new and upgraded equipment as needed
- Troubleshoot and repair all equipment to keep production going in a timely manner
- Assist with inventory to identify parts and new parts to prevent minimum breakdown or machine downtime
- Perform preventive and operational maintenance to ensure a functional and safe environment
- Troubleshoot PLC and Relay Logic
- Trouble shoot power supply circuits
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Writing and understanding PLC programming, mainly Allen Bradley
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in using Multi Fluke Meter/Clamp on Amp Meter
- Reading EU/US Electrical Prints
- Reading a Oscilloscope
- Knowledge of using a Mega testing tool
- Must be a multi-task oriented
- Have strong communication skills between departments
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
