Buena Vista Construction Company (BVCC) is a business entity within Walt Disney World that provides construction management and general contracting expertise to support facility, show, and ride enhancements, as well as refurbishments.

The Planner assists the Construction Manager with all aspects of delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of construction projects. Acting on behalf of the Construction Manager, you will help develop and execute the construction implementation plan.

You will report to the Construction Manager, Buena Vista Construction Company.

Responsibilities - You Will:
  • Assist the Construction Manager with coordination of implementation by attending project meetings, recording and distributing meeting minutes, and supporting client and partner communications.
  • Collaborate with estimating, scheduling, and resourcing teams to develop the implementation plan.
  • Process information in the construction management system.
  • Prepare documents for meetings and presentations.
  • Generate and process submittals and RFIs.
  • Coordinate material and equipment orders through the procurement team.
  • Review payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and distribute final records and close-out documents.
  • Communicate project status with leadership and clients.
  • Support the construction buyout strategy.
  • Develop and implement smaller construction projects.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, and at least two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques.
  • Experience with accounting procedures.
  • Familiarity with different construction methods and materials, and ability to interpret design drawings and specifications.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills; effective in relationship building with teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, including inviting diverse perspectives and supporting an inclusive work environment.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
