We offer general, commercial and industrial construction including electrical work, millwrights, pipe fitters and structural steel detailers. We are currently seeking pipe fitters in Jessup, MD for the Process/Utility Piping Systems group. Prefer experience in the Food and Beverage and Pharmaceutical Industries but not required. What You Will Do:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and P&ID's
- Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains process and utility piping systems
- Inspects work site to determine presence of obstructions and determine proper pipe path clearance
- Cuts pipe using saws, pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to process and production equipment
- Perform planned maintenance, inspection and installation on process and production equipment
- Follow job site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area. Identify safety hazards and protect self and others
What You Will Bring:
- Ability to keep work ahead of welders
- Using facing tools, Fischer saws, and other process related tools
- General knowledge of piping layout and routing
- Knowledge of general piping systems
- Combination fitter/welder is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent Candidates must have transportation and good communication skills
- Be willing to work within a 50-mile radius. Willingness to travel to other states for work is a plus!
- Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions
