Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Department Manager to join our team. As a Parts Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our parts department, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service and satisfaction. Coordinating counter sales, shipping and receiving, selling, and distributing truck parts to customers at required levels of profitability. The ideal applicant has several years of experience working with auto/truck parts with leadership or management experience. Strong customer service and communication skills are required.



  • Analyze, manage, maintain balanced parts inventory level, consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop and wholesale/retail.
  • Supervise, training, recruiting, and hiring personnel of the Parts Department Team: Inside Counter Sales, Outside Sales, Shipping and Receiving personnel.
  • Analyze sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, with storage layout, revising for efficiency and safety.
  • Communicate easily with all employees, clearly and effectively striving for employee cooperation within all company divisions.
  • Develop and maintain policies and practices which will ensure positive employee relations and maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor daily reports.
  • Manage parts transfers between stores.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service for all our parts business.
  • Oversee parts warranty procedures.

Qualifications

  • Automotive and/or Diesel experience,
  • Minimum two years Truck Parts Management and Supervisory experience.
  • Leadership skills to keep the department running smoothly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Product knowledge.
  • Computer proficiency.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
