Packaging Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in autonomous mobility, is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join their team. As a Packaging Engineer, you will be part of the Packaging Department supporting cross-functional teams including vehicle engineering, supplier quality, and logistics. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Packaging Engineer

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay Range: $58/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

  • Design, test, and enhance packaging solutions for transportation and internal use within manufacturing facilities
  • Collaborate with the Staff Packaging Engineer on process design and standardization of packaging for all components
  • Assist in vendor selection, management, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally with vehicle engineering, supplier quality, and logistics teams to ensure packaging meets internal and external requirements
  • Develop and implement procedures for packaging validation, performance monitoring, and supplier feedback

What's Needed?

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent field
  • Experience in supply chain operations, logistics, or manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of lean principles, distribution, or fulfillment processes, and logistics business systems
  • Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawings
  • Experience with automation development, robotics, or warehouse automation is a plus
