Sugaright is seeking an experienced and drivenOperations Managerto support and assist the Plant Manager in overseeing day-to-day plant operations. This critical leadership role ensures safety, quality, and productivity across departments, with a strong focus on employee development, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Plant Manager in overseeing all plant operations including production, safety, maintenance, quality, staffing, and logistics
- Train, mentor, and direct plant staff to ensure operations are efficient, safe, and aligned with business goals
- Maintain a clean, secure, and safe working environment in compliance with all standards and policies
- Collaborate with production planning, logistics, and customer service to meet customer expectations
- Provide engineering support for operations, process controls, maintenance programs, and equipment layouts
- Monitor and improve plant performance in safety, production, and quality metrics
- Lead initiatives that drive employee development and improve team culture and performance
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree inMechanical Engineeringpreferred (Chemical or Electrical Engineering also considered)
Experience:
- 6+ years in manufacturing operations, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role
- Demonstrated success leading production teams with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Experience with process equipment, including controls, pumps, valves, flow meters, and filtration systems
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Solid problem-solving and analytical abilities using technical/engineering knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Acc
